The goal of this panel is to provide a broad overview of the trends and environmental, social and economic impacts of Chinese overseas investment. Our panelists will focus on China’s second wave of OFDI, highlight the environmental and social aspects of investment, and discuss how Chinese investment can play a significant role in promoting sustainable development worldwide. These issues will also be discussed with examples of investment practice in Africa.
